Building a Community
     By and For The Batwa:
     BATWA HOPE VILLAGE

Why focus on housing? Currently, housing at Kisoro Hill consists of trash huts.  They leak during the rainy season. They are unsanitary, with no water available, and no toilet nearby. They are too small. RIGHT NOW....40% of children do not survive partially due to unsanitary living conditions!

The Ugandan government has issued eviction notices for the Batwa of Kisoro Hill. They must vacate the land where they are currently squatting. They must move as a community or lose their tribal way of life.

In the past, our fundraising efforts have supported leasing land for farming, establishing a trade school for vocational training, and purchasing land. With these foundations in place, we are excited to embark on the journey of building homes for their community!   It will be a community built By Batwa and For Batwa.
