September 19, 2022 LAND FOR THE BATWA! After more than a month of negotiating, Plant Fruit in Uganda has secured the first plot of land for the Batwa of Kisoro Hill. We are so excited! Plant Fruit, USA began planning the permanent usage of the land immediately. We envision housing and food production for a portion of the Batwa community. The land is currently populated with beans. The Batwa will harvest those beans in December. Following that harvest we will take another step toward
permanent solutions for housing and food production. The BATWA will have their own land - no more danger of eviction!
