Dancing is a beautiful part of the Batwa culture.
Their arms create wings as they tell of the birds in the forest. Their feet stomp hard on the dirt, as they explain about the forest elephant and the gorillas that were their neighbors. The children join in and the elders sing. Although they have little in the way of material things, they have a rich history of hunting, medicinal gathering, living in nature and building homes in trees and caves. Soon the last of the elders who remember these ways will be gone. We cannot stop time but, we can make a difference for the future. Plant Fruit is doing that - with every sewing class, every carpentry class, every harvest, every acre of land.
